Ricardo Delgado.
Ricardo is an Argentinian Tango maestro from Buenos Aires, where he founded TangoAr, an outstanding cultural club and Academy of Tango, in San Telmo in the heart of Buenos Aires.
Ricardo was born with Tango is in his blood. His father, a scholar of classical music and his grandfather Manuel, a virtuoso violinist in a Tango trio, immersed Ricardo in the music of Tango from a very young age. Listening to Tango, and especially the music of Carlos Gardel, he learnt to really listen to and feel the music - and then the movements – more than simply steps.
Living in a community with dance at its heart - carnivals, birthday celebrations, festivals were held in the cobbled streets and entire blocks of people would come together to celebrate and dance - this was the real school, the place where discovery of the true essence of Tango really started.
After training with some of the great Tango Maestros in Buenos Aires, including the legendary “Chique", Daniela Arcuri and Armando Orzuza, Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne as well as Eduardo Cappussi and Mariana Flores, Ricardo has developed a unique way of teaching and for the last 12 years has gained a reputation as an outstanding teacher of Tango Argentino.
He is the director of the show “Cuatro Estilos 2 x 4” and is also one of the principal dancers.
